>>You have said so many things I disagree with, I hardly know where to start. Let me hit on some of the main ones: <<
PMFJI, Charles,
>>1) Sun wouldn't even pay $25 for AAPL, so certainly wouldn't pay $28 for Novell, which is nowhere close to AAPL in sales/sh, cash flow/sh, or book value/sh.<<
Not any longer. (AAPL that is). And it hasn't been for quite a while. When you say _pay_ are you describing the stock swap as Roger outlined or a straight payout? Enlighten me. IMO AAPL is DEAD, and has more value being 'stripped', like a car.
>>2) Solaris, and the technology it represents, including the networking, could (and probably will) have NetWare for breakfast.<<
As you like to say in some of your posts -- "Talk numbers to me, not superlatives". I don't see that in the F1000.
So, talk numbers to me....I'd like to hear some _stuff_ from you. Not rhetoric.
>>3) SUNW is well on its way towards $100/sh. Whether or not the plans are to reach that level solely on the basis of internal growth, I doubt Novell will play a role.<<
Do some more reasearch on SUNW, and it's journey to the magical land of $100/share. They will _not_ be able to do it alone. And that _is_ in my humble opinion.
>>3) HWP is among the foremost companies in the world for leadership and track record, including in the area of software. Contrast that with Novell, which has bungled one deal after another, never seeming to know what it wants to be.<<
Until now. Like I told hot-shot Mark Cuban, let's compare notes 8 months from now.
>>4) Whether or not HWP has articulated its strategy to you, it's clear they have one and are executing it masterfully.<<
Elucidate on this, don't just mouth off about it.
>> Just my (not so humble) opinion. <<
The tag fit's perfectly with my perception of you. That being, one who know's not of humility, nor open-mindedness.
Hey Chuck,
If you own some NOVL, that's good. If you want to trash NOVL, Take a hike to another board. _UNLESS_ you can trash it with some _FACTS_ and NOT rhetoric.
I don't mind opposing viewpoints at all, as long as you can back them up with something..... I don't think you can.. I think you just like to mouth off.
Best Regards,
Joe.
