Slide, supposedly the spin-off has been in the works for a few years. A spin-off is usually beneficial to both parties. Rockwell expects to increase shareholder value by becoming less diversified. Now, investors who are interested in the semiconductor business can follow CNXT, and those who are more interested in Rockwell's core businesses can feel freer to place their money there, without the fear of semiconductor cycles and down-turns effecting their investment.

I think CNXT will do well, now that the semiconductor division will be recognized on their own merits.
