konrad: re your <intel is considered a networking company now as well.> It's interesting to me that this has not generated more discussion. When intc bought into mrvc, case technologies and some other outfit that I can't remember it got me thinking the same thing. I'm no techie and don't understand the competing technologies out there, but if one day the expression "the network is the computer" is taken for granted, intc sure doesn't want to be left out.
