A lot of the problems of AMD are SELF-INFLICTED, with no intel involvement whatsoever...

I disagree. Intel carefully manages their product pricing to inflict maximum pain on their competitors. AMD and Cyrix are in a position where they are forced to ramp product at an extremely aggressive rate. The slightest deviation from their marketing ramp appears to be a disaster from the outside.

I believe that Jerry and AMD's engineering are batting pretty close to 1000 for the last 12 months.
