Novell - First Choice to Provide Networking Solutions for World Leaders
at World Economic Forum in Davos

LONDON, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Novell Inc the world leader in networking, has been selected to provide networking
support to the world's foremost meeting of business and political representatives, the 1997 World Economic Forum (WEF).
The theme of the meeting, which is to be held in Davos, Switzerland between January 30 and February 4, is "Building the
Network Society." Under this agreement, Novell will provide network infrastructure for the Annual Meeting including
messaging and internet tools. Novell will also provide the resources to install and support the systems during the event.

In addition, Novell will provide:

* A customised networked messaging system to enable attendees to collect information and profiles on attendees and their
companies electronically and send e-mail messages to colleagues via an Intranet system.

* A "Cyber Lounge" providing attendees with a meeting place and Internet access. Information will be provided on relevant
products and services within the networking field.

These facilities will enable world leaders throughout the WEF annual meeting to trial Intranet and Internet facilities and
experience first-hand the services that are "Building the Network Society."

The services provided by Novell for the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum are based on Novell's market leading
IntranetWare and GroupWise products, also including applications customised by Novell especially for the World Economic
Forum. Internet access will be provided through Novell's IntranetWare and NetWare Web Server. Novell's provision for the
Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, is part of an extended agreement with the World Economic Forum
under which Novell will provide communications infrastructure for WEF's regional summits and Annual Meetings until the end
of 1999.
