Artisoft Names James L. Zucco, Jr. to Board of Directors; Zucco's Expertise in Voice and Data Helps Shape Artisoft CT Strategy
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1999--Artisoft(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:ASFT) is pleased to announce that James L. Zucco, Jr., chairman, president & CEO of Shiva Corporation, (NASDAQ:SHVA) has been appointed to the Artisoft board of directors.
Mr. Zucco's impressive career includes several executive-level positions within the telecommunications and data networking industries. Mr. Zucco's extensive telco expertise and knowledge will help to drive Artisoft's vision in the computer telecommunications marketplace.
Prior to joining Shiva Corporation, Mr. Zucco achieved an outstanding track record of success at Lucent, AT&T and MCI Corporation. At Lucent, he served as president of network communications software, and as vice president and general manager of Lucent North America. He was also the vice president and general manager of AT&T Advanced Network Applications at AT&T, and senior vice president, strategy and technology at MCI where he directed all major R&D and deployment activities as well as the company's expansion into international markets.
