I left something out about the NeoMagic vid card that might be important: Since it is embedded DRAM, the video memory is not expandable. At 2.5MB this might not be enough for someone who likes to have a million windows open at the same time. I presume that it makes for screaming multi-media however.

FWIW There's a discussion going on right now on the "Dream Machine" thread about CRT vs flat panel monitors.
