Good Morning Rick.

<<<.....they could pump cement down Bellvue #1 and be able to shut the BOPs at the surface?>>>

Possibly but it is far from assured that this would work if the water is coning from the Temblor formation. If they place the relief well on production some of the coned water will, along with some of the gas, be drawn to the new well. This means less flow and backpressure in the blowing well. A reduced flow in the blowing well also means less pressure loss due to water column backpressure, friction effects, etc. As a result, an even HIGHER surface pressure would result and the difficulty in cementing from surface would in fact be even greater!!

This approach would of course have a better chance of succeeding if the water is in fact entering through ruptured casing uphole. But, I do not personally believe that to be the case and I understand that those on the scene do not believe that to be the case either.

<<....rather than try to exit through the cracked casing of #1...>>

As far as I have been able to determine, cracked casing of #1 is only a "speculative possibility". While everyone recognizes that this is a "possibility" there apparently is no supporting technical evidence to suggest that it is a fact. Or, do you know something new in this regard that would confirm it as fact ??

<<...where we probably still have 8000 psi reservoir pressure.>>

We better have a hell of a lot more reservoir pressure than that, don't you think ?? If that's all we got, ......

Later,
