Social Security "Mis-Trust" Fund is incorporated in the US "unified" budget and thus, the surplus all politicians are so proud of. Without the SS money, the Fed budget is running a $ 90 Billion annual deficit - give or take a few billions. (If one includes off-budget financing, it's much higher ...)

Thus, using budget "surplus" to shore-up the SS Trust Fund it's like taking money out of the left pocket and putting it back into the left pocket. I think that the AARP can sue the Lie House, the Congress, SS Administration and the US Treasury under "Truth In Advertising" laws with RICO thrown in for good measure. // CA
