You have to remember that SUNW is in the business of hardware/OS.
They have never been, and I hope never will be, in the application
or desktop business. Hardware plus *reliable/scalable* OS is what
makes SUNW fly. As more user-friendly UI's gets ported to SUNW's
machine (not by SUNW), SUNW's hardware/OS will only have better
market position.

The main benefit of Java for SUNW is to get more developers to
write softwares for their machine (and other machines too).
But the reliability/scalability of SUNW's platform as compared
with the crashing once-a-month NT will convince business to use
SUNW's machine. By the way, Keith, if NT crash for you about
once a month, you probably know how often it *would* crash if
you are using NT for a company's billing or some database appl.
You either pay a little more for SUNW's machine now, or you have
to be able to afford the crash later. Some business just cann't
afford to have those crash frequence and those business have
big money to spend too. That's why I like SUNW's stock.
They serve RICH clients with quality to retain them.

MSFT/INTC serve the mass with "savings" and that's good for them
too because they are not really savings if you force your customers
to upgrade (hardware and software) ever so often.

Finally, I have one small request to guys who compare Netscape
and Internet Explore or that sort of thing. Please keep this
thread as clean as it have been, focus on SUNW's stock. Post those
stuff in the MSFT/NSCP thread please.
