GO SI. Perhaps at issue is the "dead money" nature of CA. CA is too strong a company to turn your back on, but 1999 looks too crummy to get excited about. As soon as their options vested, management came clean about poor business conditions into 1999. Now they sound a little like Bill Clinton when they say their fundamentals are strong, but that business is just slow. Where is the truth?

CA seems to be holding its own with TNG (but not Jasmine), but conditions are deteriorating, and should get worse in H2. The real question is: how fast will things get worse and where is the bottom? What we need here are MIS people interested in talking on this thread about the reality of the H2 "Nuclear Winter". In their call, CPWR said that the Y2k issue was pure "crap". Who is right? Is the fact that CPWR has a big service organization, and CA does not, making a difference? Is that why CA is buying so many service organizations? Separately, when does the alleged price cutting by PLAT, MERQ and others stop? I think folks are just waiting for another shoe to drop. That should be the basis of discussion on this thread.
