In the inevitable cycle of things, bear markets follow bull markets, which are then followed by bull markets. When (not if) the bear market comes one can start to rationally value equities. Dividends will suddenly be more highly valued by investors, instead of shunned.

No one will be able to say exactly, although there will come a time when valuations become compelling again.
