Coby, I don't think I missed your point. I realize that we don't look at things the same way much and I am trying to be cautious in what I say.

My model has zippo to do with what will happen. I buy csco when I think it is a good value. Not as a prediction that the dip is over. I am not trying to argue that I will know when the dip is over. I am trying to argue that it makes more sense to me to buy securities, or anything for that matter, when the valuation makes sense to me, my pocketbook, my financial situation. What the market does...who knows. If throughout my lifetime I build a good model and buy securities based on that model...It doesn't much matter if in the short run the dips dip some more...

The difference is that I am not trying to tell you that I know what will happen in the crazy, zany markets. I am trying to make my best judgment about what securities are worth to me...relating to pretty vanilla measures like p/b p/e p/s...
