The lines below are clipped from the plaintree statement after the layoffs. What concerns me is that the statement looks to comfort customers and potential partners but no mention of investors. Perhaps it is implied that helping customers and leveraging potential partnerships is helping to secure investment. I would have preferred a more direct statement to the investors. Or then again, is it omitted because there is no salvage possible?

"But now that we have restructured, we need to move forward to serve
and support our customers -- and leverage our relationships with
potential partners to expand our product line."
