Kaiser says volatility may follow Winspear's admission

Winspear Resources Ltd WSP
Shares issued 33,721,333 Jan 18 close $3.99
Mon 18 Jan 99 In the News
John Kaiser, writing in a Jan. 18, 199 Bottom-Fish Tracker, says Winspear
Resources's admission that the three largest stones in the Snap Lake
mini-bulk sample will probably result in price volatility as the market
digests the implications of the news. On Jan. 8, the letter writer joined
Bob Bishop in warning their respective subscribers that the results were
badly skewed by the three largest rocks. Both advised selling at least a
portion of the stock, but Mr. Kaiser went quite a bit further in warning of
a "dangerous speculative bubble" that could result if the company failed to
fully disclose what it knows about the stones. In the current report, Mr.
Kaiser predicts that a less-than-informed media will probably focus on the
simple salting angle to explain the wondrous results from the June
mini-bulk sample. Ironically, Mr. Kaiser was the first reputable letter
writer or analyst to raise the possibility of salting at Snap Lake. In any
event, he believes the stock will at worst settle around the $2.50 level.
Mr. Kaiser recommended the stock at 52 cents in early June.
