Wayne,
I have never met Kaiser, but comments from two people I know who have met him, are that he has a veery big ego. Some say he is upset that he didn't get any of the PP. I think that Winspear is well past the point where a NR writer is going to have any kind of a sustained effect anyways. IMO, all Kaiser and Bishop have done with their Winspear bashing is undermine their own credibility.
