Re Real Index data From what I remember reading, Dow Jones and others used to provide the daily indices as a free service or at nominal cost, but now charge healthy fees for them. As a result, many data providers decided they would do the calculations themselves, rather than raise their charges. IMHO, now only the 'premium data providers' such as Reuters, etc probably have the 'real thing'. John
