Just ran the 1998 VCD numbers. Almost 90% of vcd chip sales are to companies in China, or for export to China. My numbers may not be accurate, they are based on only partial information. In 1997, about 20M units of VCD chips shipped. When we started 1998, the VCD market was expected to be 30M units worldwide, and China's production capacity was 50M units, alone. My numbers say that just under 24M units shipped in 1998, C-Cube had over 14M of those. A big decrease in growth momentum.

25% of C-Cube's VCD chip shipments, in Q4, 1998, should be Chao Ji VCD. About 1M chips. ASPs around $12. VCD 2.0 ASPs around $7-$8.
