"only the 'premium data providers' such as Reuters, etc probably have the 'real thing'" Does Premium mean at a higher price than normally sold at? I understand People take nearly an hour to download 2000 stocks from them. Print or true it is all relative. What is a 100 points out of 9300? The "unreal" way is the way we follow stocks, it is just a matter of preferrence.
