I think this is just a normal price cut which I believe Intel does routinely 3 or 4 times a year. Encroachment by AMD and Cyrix is probably not a big concern when you are at 100% of capacity.

BTW Gigglebytes (Lincoln Spector) gave his Sam Goldwyn Award for the clear use of the English language to AMD for hyping their "Out of Order Execution Engine" in the K6.
