Hello everyone. Got a minute? I hope so. I'd just like to talk to some intelligent human beings for just a few minutes before I completely lose my mind. I believe that we could avoid a lot of stress in our lives if we could just talk to somebody whenever something bothers us. Of course it doesn't have to be one big thing like the apparent pointless futility of our existence. Most of the time, it's a whole bunch of little stuff, but it adds up-you know? sometimes you just have one of those cruddy days when nothing seems to go right. You oversleep. You're out of shampoo. You break a shoelace. Your car won't start. You're late for class. School stinks, as usual; Physics is too easy and the lectures are boring, Calculus is some old fart's idea of a history class, Japanese sure as hell isn't getting any easier, and for the literature course, you have to read several hundred pages of novel, analyze them for nooks&crannies followed by a 10 page essay, and you have to do this everyweek for every each novel you read! You finally get home and try to unwind, but the phone keeps ringing off the hook. "No, I don't want an estimate. No, I can't make a donation at this time. No, Bubbles doesn't live here. No, I don't want to save money on my long distance phone bill. No, I can't go out with YOU this Saturday -- can't you take 'NO' for an answer?" And some jerk stole all your lingerie in the dryer, so you have to go bra-less for a few days. School has reduced your TAP award, and the school's tuition is going up 25%, so that's more money out of your pocket. And your stocks haven't moved anywhere but down, and you can't help but wonder how you'll ever recover from this loss and help pay for your tuition. Since you forgot to go grocery shopping, there's nothing to eat. You start to wonder about the nutritional value of toothpaste when the lights go out. So, you're sitting there in the dark, hungry and in a really really bad mood. You just feel like screaming or crying or something.....
*sulk* Why me?
