We were talking about that at the time, and it turned out that they'd gone back and taken 500kg of fresh sample from the 200,000kg pits - there's posts about that, somebody called Sophie and straightened it out. Here's the wording of the release -

"Caustic fusion analyses of kimberlite intersections obtained from this current program, as well as 250 kg from each of the two pits sampled this spring, are in progress and results will be reported when they are received. Results will contribute to the geostatistical database on microdiamond distribution that is being established on the NW dyke for purposes of grade prediction."

Each to their own, but personally I think rumours like this one about the 'big rock' make the thread look hypey. I don't believe that one because if it was true it would be a material change and have to be reported right away. L.D.'s point about time is right-on ... it's been years already and there's years more to go .... Being the VSE Flavour Of The Year will pass sooner or later as other stories come along, but the day-in day-out slogging work of developing the properties goes on and on ..... reading old posts of Walt's can give you an idea what it's like for the guys on the ground #reply-3119627 #reply-3154593 #reply-1274597 ... and 'the 5 phases' - #reply-1151783
