...superb read; evening star reversal candlestick is centered on 07-JAN-99. The entire RLX.X - Retail Sector has been under-performing the S&P-500 ever since.

From 83-5/8 perceived TOP to ~55 at beginning QTR-4 I have short term fibonacci retracements overlayed by longer-term fibonacci lines based from ~38 at beginning of QTR-1 1998:

100+ = Frenzy Scenario

97-5/8 = Far Target

92-3/8 = Near Target

83-5/8 = apparent TOP, 85 strike resistance

76-7/8, and probable 50d EMA area

72-3/4

69-1/2

66-5/16, and probable 200d EMA area

61.25 +/- 0.75 = Panic Scenario

~55 = 3-month fibonacci basis to 83-5/8 TOP

~38 = 12-month fibonacci basis to 83-5/8 TOP

...and I have the short-term UpTrend Line drawn between CLOSE 01-OCT-98 and CLOSE 03-DEC-98 and beyond, actually violated around 12-JAN-99 CLOSE; with WMT attempting, but failing to technically pull-back to this old UpTrend reference.

What were your tea leaves based on, Zophia, and what is your current projection for this RLX.X sector bellwether ?
