All, As a NAVR lurker who also lurked to a triple with DBCC, I have a question which maybe the likes of Zurdo et al could answer: is there a book you would recommend to find out some of the inner workings of The Street? I ask because with both DBCC and NAVR I read lots of posts discussing the way the MM's in particular can manipulate the price of a stock in order to buy it cheaper. Presumably they dump their holdings quickly to lower the price (?) and then buy a whole ton back when the price has dropped?? I'm interested to see how they do this, how it is justified as legal, and would also be interested to read about what other entirely ethical tactics they or anyone on The Street may have. I rather suspect I was clobbered in this way when I came to sell my DBCC, because although as I say I was fortunate enough to triple, I sold into a 3-hour slump of about $5 and it was alleged on the DBCC thread that this was the Street at work. I guess I'm looking for a guidebook to being an MM, although let me stress that's not what I want to be when I grow up :-) Thanks for your illuminating posts, all, and happy investing. (Long NAVR).
