I do not have a clue. One thing I would do is disable USB (unless of course you have USB devices). I have seen a lot of conflicts resolved by disabling USB.

Check out device manager if you have not already. Look for yellow check marks indicating conflicts (start/settings/control panel/system..in win95, probably the same in Win98). Look around for USB related things in device manager too.

Be careful messing around in device manager...especially if you do not have a Drive Image<g>
