ok, just a bit more...(too early for sleep...)
OFF TOPIC A couple of years back, I was working in finance for a New England company that was in an industry that depended highly on direct salesfolks (commissions, and the like), and the entire success of the company hinged on its image, marketing and followthrough (not to mention on-time delivery to notoriously picky retailers).
Anyway, (in an attempt to digress only *slightly* less than Mr. Lindt), the long and short of it is this: when a salesperson or other employee went over the top, and really, really stuck his or her neck out to benefit the company and its shareholders, we started a custom of sending prepackaged "Lobster Grams" -- that is, two, live Mainers, Fedex'ed overnight (the pot, crackers and butter all included and ready to go), as a kind of "Pavlovian" reward to show our collective appreciation for a job well done.
Although I can't think of any logical connection between Checkfree and lobsters (Tom, maybe you or the 2x4 can help me out with this one), in recognition of the double-whammy of a new record high in the stock and the freshening up of the website, I'm gonna allocate a wee bit of that paper gain to serving up a pair of those "Crafty" Crustaceans for each of Pete, Allan and Laurinda, on behalf of the thread, for delivery on Wednesday, January 27th, for them to bring home following the Q2 conference call (sorry if any of ya are veggies -- if so, I'm sure there's other deserving folks who'd like 'em).
I'm sure I speak for all on the thread in showing our appreciation for all of the effort...
