Savant, thanks kindly for the link to the article. It looks like there's a lot of hope for using technology to help disabled folks rather than just frustrating them more.

How would you feel about using a browser that reads back the text on the screen to you? If the voice wasn't "natural" would it be too annoying to use on a regular basis? Do you have any opinions on using more voice on web pages?

I use the "Steven Hawkings" voice on the Mac to read some stuff back but it gets tiring after a few minutes. Are we far from hearing HAL's voice from Space Odyssey:2001? <g>
