Jimmyo,

Just returned from Western Michigan University
Library, check THE (London) TIMES. If you think
the U.S. coverage of this thing is big, really
you should see the attention it's getting over
there. In the next two years, the # of wireless
users in Great Britain is expected to double (from
20% to 40%)! This deal is quite obviously being
very well received in the U.K., analysts are raising
their forcasts. Now, if only Nextel had a "Sprint-
like" P.R. Department. I expect a nice strategic
decision very soon. This 110 Billion dollar strategic
merger sheds light on the real value this industry
has upon our lives. And how amazing it is that so
very few large players exist. I can tell you that
there are at least a dozen European Telecoms that
have the resources and the desire to "mate" with a
company like Nextel. It won't happen at these (30's)
bargain basement prices, however. I do like the idea
of a WCOM/NXTL because I think Bernie Ebbers is such
a class act. But a bidding war will drive this to
levels that make this tiny. The very first (digital)
wireless co. in the Hemisphere to arrive at positve
cash flow, NXTL is ready for higher levels as a knife
(through HOT butter)!

Mike
