"On Monday, Intel announced it was working with security software firm RSA Data Securities, a subsidiary of Security Dynamics Technologies Inc. (SDTI), to build encryption capabilities into its chips.
Sources said Intel would provide a software "patch" allowing them to turn off the ID feature.
The feature also would help Intel crack down on illegal sales of microprocessors and so-called "overclocking," where hackers essentially turbocharge, say, a 266-MHz processor and then resell it as a 400-MHz processor."

Just comparing the CSCO of security to the MRV of security.
