Zap Receives Patent For Electric Scooter The U.S. Patent Office has granted Zap Power Systems (OTC BB:ZAPP) patent No. 5,848,660 on their folding electric scooter, known as the ZAPPY. The patent is the third patent granted to the California based public company. According to ZAP President and Inventor James McGreen, the ZAPPY is the ultimate Sports Utility Vehicle.
