<If one is marketing a product, one is also selling it?>
Not so. I have been part of many relationships where it was in the best interest for one party to market, but not sell a solution. I may very well market your goods and services in conjunction with mine as part of a total solution. I'll quickly direct my customers to do the deal with you, sign the licenses, take delivery etc.,

IBM can't dicatate to many of their solutions partners WHAT they must sell or how they must integrate various tools into their custom solution. However, they can market a total solution. The solution may contain one of their products and one of HIE's.

I don't think the issue is that important here as long as IBM has put their good housekeeping seal of approval on the HIE products. Increased visibility is a very good thing. Increased sales, no matter who books what portion of the revenue, will follow.
