I covered all of the crazy internet-never stop going up shorts within the last two weeks . These will be good shorts eventually but it makes no sense to short them now. IMO internet fever will not be over as soon as people think. it will probably take at least one year or more for people to realize that the earnings potential is low. IMO there are two gorups of companies that will benefit from the net: 1. hardware vendors are the ones that will make the significant money in the net but they are all flying too high right now. 2. Real businesses that use the net for e-commerce like dell. Most portals and people who think they will make tons of money from advertising commissions and pass through customers will be greatly disappointed. The power of the net is great in getting rid of middle men and lowering margins. This is what I call power to the people. I still a few small short positions, but nothing that keeps me from sleeping at night. I am now in sabbatical and will be traveling freqently so i cannot be glued to the market as much as usual. that i hope will not run against me but if they do, I will cover. The last three months have been the greatest bull leg of all times.
