Good points!

Further agreement... Uncle Billy/Sam and Uncle Davis, here in CA, love traders as they pay top tax dollar on their gains. You have to beat the tax man every time whereas my taxable gains are at 20% and only when I decide to sell! Heck, I might just sell in a yr when I have no or little income and only pay 15%!

Some traders do well. I traded my company stock in a 401K plan and made 20% on the average value in the stock in a yr when the stock was flat. Not sure it was worth the trouble for a few $k, but it was fun and it helped me pick good DOllar Cost Exit points for company stock held outside deferred accounts.
