Alexa,

I've been dropping in here for a few days now (followed Janice over
from the war zone) and have really enjoyed the discussion here. I
find the characteristic of women to share their feelings this way
very attractive. It's one of the key differences between the sexes.

I understand what you are saying about male/female friendships being
dangerous, if one or both parties are involved. I also got married
when I was young (22) and found out through painful experience the
consequences of infidelity. I'm now single again, after 19 years of
marriage, and have a much different perspective on relationships. I
would never be involved with a women who was already involved with
someone else, nor would I ever be involved with more than one women.
So for me there is no danger anymore, but only because of what I've
already been through.

I'm curious about one thing though. I've had a friend tell me that
she did not want to get romantically involved (we are both single)
because she valued our friendship too much. I have no problem
accepting this, as I place a high value on friendship myself. But is
she really just saying in a nice way that I'm just not her type?
