Peter: Barriers to entry in E-commerce are nil...anyone can set up a Web site and sell stuff for almost nothing. Competition is already becoming ferocious as dozens of e-commerce sites are set up each week. Comparing prices from one e-retailer to another does not require driving across town, it takes just a click on a mouse. Worse, there will shortly be web sites that keep track of prices on various sites and automatically take you to the lowest price one. Anyone that thinks that margins will ever be anything but razor thin is kidding themselves. Neither Amazon nor any other e-commerce site will generate the profits justifying current valuations.....ever. -Ritz
