Oh come on now.... Do you really think 'ol AG and his cohorts hired me to come out here??

At least give me a <vbg> when you make an insinuation like that.

I might turn it all around and ask if you or anyone else out here is employed by a mining company or dealer in precious metals.

I don't apologize for any of these guys. They know they screwed up by not performing greater risk management oversight. That was plainly clear by the way the Fed bailed out LTCM last August. The Fed's strong-arming of a roomful of major bank managers to the take the fund over, AND THEN lowering the Fed Funds and Discount to help them maintain their liquidity is essentially an indirect bail-out.

They know they screwed up and they don't know any other way to salvage it without self-destruction.

Are people really that uncaring about the consequences of a sharp upsurge. Do you really want to seek major deflation, and then major inflation, whipsaw and destroy the current system??

Maybe you guys need to stop apologizing for investing so much money in this metal "myth" years ago. Belief in gold being fundamentally different value play than gov't backed Fiat currency is as insane as believing that AMZN justifies having a market cap equal to or greater than the GDP of Norway and many other countries.

And while people like yourself may complain about the manipulation they have seen, I have yet to see anyone provide me an alternative scenario that makes logical sense.

If my lacking the desire to see the world economy and people's lives turned upside down equates to apologizing for the manipulative actions of CB's against gold, I guess I have to plead guilty.

I, like them, realize that there are greater stakes involved.

Regards,

Ron
