Since both Intel and CPQ's announced package use Tut Systems phone technology, I think they will turn out to be essentially similar packages. My understanding is that Tut Systems technology splits the phoneline into three channels, one for voice, one for internet, and one for networking. This area will get crowded really quick. 3Com is also going to come out with a similar package, Netgear is shipping stuff, and there is wireless networking available from Proxim (package called Symphony). CPQ has the initial advantage as they are bundling this with their PC's as we speak...
