Does anybody else wonder what is the point of releasing a free beta version of the software 1 week before releasing the "for sale" version? It was my impression the purpose of a beta version is to find and work out the bugs in a program. Betas are normally released months before the actual product is released, aren't they? A week would seem to be an awfully short period of time for the usual purposes of a beta version. Any theories?
