Mindport buys TV/Com
- Expands American base -
Hoofddorp, 26 November 1998 - Mindport is
pleased to announce that it has acquired the
American broadcasting technology company
TV/Com International Inc.. The acquisition closed
yesterday when Mindport formally purchased the
company from Hyundai Electronics America.
Based in the Netherlands, Mindport gains a solid
initial base for its various companies from which
they can grow in the Americas and offer
technology solutions to customers and more
localised support to serve their businesses.
Mindport will be introducing itself to TV/Com's
customers in the days ahead.
Graham Kill, CEO of Irdeto Access and Mindport
STB, says: "The opportunity to work with an
existing talented and experienced team to develop
these American-based activities was too good an
opportunity to miss. We have worked with
TV/Com for many years and know the company
quite well, so we were able to work with Hyundai
to conclude the transaction within a short period.
