re: isleuth.com

Seems to be a johnny come lately in the search engine areana, but looks like they bought a decent enough engine, and are now attempting to market the dang thing.

What the whole Excite story shows is this: what makes a great search engine company better than an ordinary one is management. Excite added lots of features to their site, ability to personalize, very functional and usefull BEYOND the ordinary purpose of searching. Then they marketed the hell out of it to ISPs, content providers, AOL, EVERYONE... they put Excite into almost everyone's browser.

So, build, build build, market, market, market. Will iSluth do the same, and be as successful at it as Excite? Who knows?!!

So far they seem to be trying to emulate Excite, recently adding free email, becoming the official search engine of Wowmail, instituting traffic building measures. Only time will tell now. They are soon to become a full reporting company, so let's see if any analysts hop on board the iSleuth train.
