I'm afraid I misspoke. The article appeared in the New York Times Financial section on January 20, 1999 under the headline "Cisco Planning an Alternative to Traditional Switch Systems" Cisco announced that they were close to introducing a device that will allow communications carriers to route voice ,video and data traffic on a single something or other. It seemed like good news for CSCO. In any event our baby went up 3/16 on a day that was not kind to most tech stocks. What exactly is going on?? Most posts here are not optimistic about the long term prospects of this company and I am looking to get out of this stock before too much longer. It seems like any move upward is a prelude to more bad news and more collapse. I know how Charlie Brown felt when Lucy kept promising not to pull the football away at the last second. John
