Steve .. I think you're right..

I pretty much base my 401k actions by watching the SPX (mostly) ..

I lurk on that thread .. Criss is getting real good.

I also watch what makes up the SPX .. that is the DJIA and NDX. Whatever else is left after you take out those probably amount to about 25% of the SPX weight.

The DJIA has been showing real weakness the last week or two (thanks don sew). Then there is the TechSpaetzle index .. ummmmm .. there's a lotta air down there (15 weeks .. thanks MG).

Reason that I'm concerned about the hit that the ND9H took at close is that it puts the open .. let's see ..

Fair value for the prem on the SPX today was 8.20 .. So then 8.2 * 19 / 12 = ~13 .. So then take the ND9H value of 1953, subtract the 13 points you hit 1928 with sell programs fired up at the open.

Anyway .. there is some major red flags right now .. That's why I got the 401k 100% cash. Wish I could trade the spy there!
