No, I haven't read Darvas' book, but several people have recommended it to me, so it's on my "to read" list.

My question on stops dealt specifically with setting up ProTA's trading systems. I guess if one's system bought on a breakout that you could use a 5 or 10% stop. But then what do you do to protect profits? ProTA has a trailing stop feature that can be triggered after a certain amount of gain, and a couple of other settings to boot. And, there's always the "Exit Long" trigger that one could use.

As I mentioned in a previous post, ProTA is sufficiently full-featured that I'll take awhile longer to grasp all (or most) of it.
