No that is not true.

I would not put my money under a pillow because someone might find out and come blow my brains out on top of that same pillow and take the money.

Money market accounts in a bank will now track inflation fairly well, and the United State Government insures accounts.

However, if you are suspicious of that, you can buy savings bonds, and if you are suspicious of savings bonds, you could buy some gold, and if you are suspicious of gold, you can say your prayers and curl up and die.

But anyone who has a good profit on LU now would be well advised to convert it into something else. And quickly.

I am afraid that the figures quoted by Yahoo are those provided by LU, plus the New York Stock Exchange.
