Ryno,
The future prospects of ATHM can truly rise to the largest you can imagine. Someday not that far away (say ~15 years) broadband internet connection will be as commonplace in every home on the planet as television is now. It will replace the telephone, the television, and most print media and reshape the culture in ways we cannot yet understand. I'm talking 90% penetration rate vs. todays 5% penetration.
ATHM is the standalone leader in the field and has access to a significant percentage of the homes in the country and is working to provide service throughout the world. They intend to be both a provider of the internet access and a central host for all the broadband applications to come.
Yes they will have competition. I dont need a monopoly. I need to see that the internet becomes filled with interactive media & streaming video that only broadband can provide so that everyone will get broadband just as they once all bought CD players and VCR's when they were new, because thats the standard way its done to be connected to the society.
I see the stock doublingor tripling every year for 3-5 years then growing at a more moderate 40% for the next 3-5 years. Maybe something like 100 million customers throughout the world in 15 years. Thats big enough for me. How much future prospect do you need?
Eric
