Hello Fabeyes, Samsung are probably close to Toshiba in terms of yields but not die size. Toshiba is moving to volume production of 0.2 micron with a 50mm2 chip vs Samsungs 60mm2 at 0.22 micron.

Samsung has made the move to high NA (above 0.6) scanners but they are still using stack capacitors, do you think that yields will still remain high despite the shallow depth of field that this will result in?

LG & Hyundai are still using 0.55 NA steppers with stack, no PSM and no CMP, so I would have to draw into question their ability to shrink to 0.22 micron without seeing a major decline in yields. Any thoughts? TIA
