To Shawn, Andrew, Kevin Re: Shawn's unworthiness
Please read Shawn's original post. Therein he describes his intent for this thread. Are you paying Shawn to pick your stocks? Did you think he was going to hit every time? Where does he owe you or us anything? Would you rather he go away? I guarantee he will, because the only thing he gets from doing this is an ego boost.
As for AV, KH, and other gurus, nothing irritates a very qualified, able person more than seeing someone who seems to be cutting corners or doing things his own, irregular way get a disproportionate share of the attention, affection, and rewards.
If he doesn't hit, does that make his methods of operation improper with regard to the rest of us? If so, then aren't they also improper when he hits, and everyone is making money off him? Why don't we castigate Shawn at that point?
As far as I'm concerned, AV and KH and anyone else who is so capable themselves, yet critical of Shawn's methods should get their own "Picks" thread. I know I have great respect for their abilities. And they should continue to post on this thread, too, but realize the intent of the thread. Warn people of jumping into Shawn's picks blindly. We need that! But let's not jump all over this guy (gal?) for doing what he promised on this thread.
The only part of Shawn's original statement that he doesn't always live up to is the "providing of information." But realize the consequences of that action. If he gets inside info, and displays it here, it's not too hard, sometimes, to trace it back to the person he got it from. After that, guess whose neck is on the line. It's not AV's, nor KH's.
Shawn may be Gordon Gekko, but that's who the people of this thread want.
