I would guess that because the Pentium II PE doesn't require off-chip L2 cache running at high speeds (relative to the processor bus), the overall power consumption would be lower, allowing Intel to crank up the speed of the Pentium II PE to 366 MHz.

I'm pretty excited over the new Pentium II PE. Notebooks have been performance-challenged for a while compared to desktops. Now the performance gap between mobile and desktop has been cut significantly.

And yes, I do think the mobile AMD K6-3 will also be a very hot item.
