Stitch, I agree with you on QNTM ... she is the evil temptress ... seductive from a distance ... but, really awful to live with ... that said ... I am actually growing more fond of the business model. I do not know enough about ATL ... but that is done and paid for ... $4.7 mm per quarter amortization penalty (that I will add back in) ... I like the DLT media strategy and the 1 mm unit installed base does not hurt ... though I would think they would be wise to give up some margin to increase the installed base ... SEG seems pretty excited about their upcoming offering (from, as QTNM likes to call it, the SegHwpIbm Team ... nice acronym) ... I also like the disposition (finally) of the MK heads JV. Finally ... why not earlier? How much do you think that STK will be willing to pay for their CO facility at this point? Still, you hate to be behind in the areal density war and the enterprise business won't get much easier from here for them. Moreover, I have not seen the product, but SEG's sub-$1000-tailored drive is not going to help QNTM's position at the low end. I have a big, inexpensive position in SEG, and am more comfortable there ... but, if this gets cheap enough. --Duker WDC sounded impressive (not). Always nice to file a shelf "even though you don't need it ..." Yeah, right Chucky ... just like you didn't need the Zero Coupon Convert! He just sits there and lies. Negative Net Worth aptly describes WDC.
