From a Merrill Lynch 1/30 report "Impact of Brazil on Wireless Companies":

"Nextel Communications: We estimate that Nextel's Latin Ameican operations will represent about 7% of total company revenues in 1999E and about 10% in 2000. As for EBITDA contributions, Nextel's Latin American subsidiaries are still generating operating losses. If subscriber growth in Brazil slows as a result of recession, we believe that this might actually have a positive impact on Nextel's total company EBITDA as marketing and sales expenses would be reduced."
